We were founded on a simple realization: Sumatra's high-quality Arabica coffee and coconut shell charcoal have historically only reached Europe through third parties. Sumatra Roots breaks that chain — for consistent quality, fair prices for producers, and the best possible terms for buyers, with full supply chain transparency.

Based in West Sumatra and Jambi, we work directly with coffee farmer cooperatives at the foot of Mount Kerinci and with coconut charcoal producers in West Sumatra.
